3. Why is Autodesk partnering with Eagle Point to support this program?

Autodesk and Eagle Point offer complementary products and services that help customers migrate to BIM tools to dramatically improve work processes.

AutoCAD Civil 3D civil engineering software uses BIM to help civil engineering project teams evaluate more what-if scenarios earlier in the design process and get transportation, land development, and environmental projects done faster and more efficiently.

Eagle Point Task Navigator ships with a catalog of processes encompassing surveying, grading, roadway design, pipe layout and plan set preparation to help shorten your AutoCAD Civil 3D learning curve. Links to the right commands are contained within the instructional text so you can quickly get up to speed on the new 3D modeling workflows.

4. Is Eagle Point’s Desktop Engineering, Desktop Surveying, or Desktop Hydraulics and Hydrology software being discontinued?

Eagle Point is planning to retire its civil engineering and surveying products, but is planning to provide releases through November 2011 to provide customers ample time to plan for a transition and maintain active projects.

Beginning November 2010, Eagle Point will no longer offer subscriptions on its civil engineering and surveying products.

Beginning November 2011, support and replacement authorization codes will no longer be available.

5. Can the Eagle Point Customer Transition Program be combined with other offers from Autodesk?

No, the Eagle Point Customer Transition Program cannot be combined with other Autodesk offers. Customers may take advantage of any separate offers made available by Eagle Point or Autodesk Partners.

6. Are network licenses available under this program?

Customers purchasing Eagle Point Customer Transition Program paths that include an existing AutoCAD or AutoCAD Map 3D will be fulfilled with a license type consistent with their original product. For example, customers migrating from an AutoCAD 2009 Single User License with Eagle Point Desktop Hydrology will be fulfilled with a Single User License of AutoCAD Civil 3D or AutoCAD Civil 3D software.

Only Single User Licenses are available for the Legacy and Competitive trade up purchase paths.

Customers that are fulfilled with Single User Licenses may elect to purchase Network License Activation to use their licenses in a network environment.
