Starting in 1983 with our founders’ roots in Engineering and Architecture, Eagle Point set out to solve problems for clients in the AEC market and to take advantage of technology. Through our 33 years of evolution, we have moved from providing design tools, to putting our focus on allowing our clients to take full advantage of the technology throughout their organization.

We’re not just trainers or book authors. We’re Engineers and Architects with over 100 years of combined experience who have helped thousands of people use their Autodesk software better.

History

It all started in 1983 in the basement of a Dubuque, Iowa home along the Mississippi River, with John Biver and a single partner. The initial product, a software program called RoadCalc™, was designed to provide surveyors and engineers with automated corridor-based survey data entry, design and staking capabilities.

Since then, Eagle Point has continued to expand its product offerings to provide more complete technology solutions, adding to the platforms its products supported and to the number of products it developed.

Executive Team

John BiverJohn Biver – President and CEO
John is a founder, President and CEO of Eagle Point Software Corporation. John’s role at Eagle Point involves working with the Management Team to define the overall vision for the organization. Additionally, John works directly with strategic partners and key customers to make sure Eagle Point’s products and services bring them true value.

From 1990 through 2000 John was Vice President of the Civil Engineering Division and was responsible for all Sales, Marketing, Research & Development and Customer Service and Support. As Vice President John played an instrumental role in helping the company grow and ultimately in taking the company public in 1995. In 2001, he took the lead in taking Eagle Point private again when he stepped into the role of President and CEO.

An entrepreneur at heart, John’s business passion centers on leading organizational change for the sake of improvement. His natural thought process centers around what could be, as opposed to what is. It was that thought process that pushed John to take Eagle Point private again. In his early career, John spent 5 years as a Professional Engineer working in the consulting engineering field. These experiences as a design engineer lead John to his interests in computers, software and process improvement.

John graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville.

Randy Ambrosy – Chief Business Development Officer
Since 1991, Randy has served in a variety of roles at Eagle Point including Sales, Sales Management, Divisional Director and Vice President of International Operations. Currently Randy oversees global sales execution, marketing, pipeline management and customer satisfaction for the products and services provided by Eagle Point. Randy is a results-oriented person who has a been instrumental in developing a sophisticated E-marketing system for email/social marketing and developing the corporate brand while meeting the requirements of all product/service lines.

Randy has a degree in Electronics Engineering.
